Olongapo
City is often lost in the tourism shadow of the
Subic Bay Freeport. This is very unfortunate as
Olongapo has a nice range of activities and accomodations
in its own right. Many of Olongapo's hotels and
resorts are beach front and most carry a more
modest price than the the hotels on the Subic
Bay Freeport. Most of the beach resort are located
in Barrio Barretto including some in the area
of the barrio referred to as Baloy Long Beach.
While technically a part of Barrio Barretto it
has its own flavor and most people consider it
separate. Subic Bay has mountains on three sides
and tucked into them is also some mountain retreats.
Olongapo can boast of Anne Raquel's Mountain resort.
